For nearly four years, I've had the privilege of serving as your County Council Representative and I remain committed to representing your voice at the county. I've stood against tax increases, supported our law enforcement, and worked to protect our cherished canyons.
I earned a degree in Biology from the University of Utah and there is no place I would rather call home than Salt Lake County.
Sandy is my home, and I'm deeply committed to this community. My children attend our public schools, and my family frequently uses our beautiful canyons and open spaces. We're avid skiers, and I use our trails nearly every day.
The rapid growth in our district has introduced new challenges, but I'm committed to keeping our taxes low and maintaining the quality of life that we all desire.
One of Dea's top priorities is to find a new location for our search and rescue teams, ensuring they can continue delivering this essential service to our residents.
Dea is committed to finding solutions and working with the legislature and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of homelessness programs in the county.
Dea is committed to protecting our canyons. She has been proactive in identifying solutions, changing the code for parking in the canyon and working with UTA to make the canyons more accessible to all.
Dea has been a long time volunteer and supporter of Best Friends Animal Society and she understands the importance of having a “no kill” county and will continue to support this effort.
Dea has taken the initiative to expand Aging and Adult Services and is committed to ensuring all seniors have access to this essential program.
Dea has proudly served on the Unified Fire Authority and Salt Lake County Law Enforcement Service Area boards and is committed to providing adequate funding and support for our officers.
Salt Lake County has countless mental health resources to support our residents. Dea is dedicated to raising awareness and ensuring all residents have access to these vital services.
Dea understands the financial strain of taxes on families during this climate of high inflation. Dea believes in responsible budgeting and is committed to keep taxes low and eliminate government waste.
Utah is one of the fastest-growing states in the nation. Dea is committed to ensuring Salt Lake County can responsibly sustain this growth while prioritizing housing affordability.
